Sleep current is very high

Dear dialog team,

I tried to load the ble_app_sleepmode (without any modifications) example into a DA14531 chip. I am able to receive the BLE transmissions on a smartphone. But when the chip goes to sleep, the sleep current is at 27uA. Is it normal or am I doing something wrong?.

Thanks for coming and posting on our new forum and glad to see that you are using the DA14531.

Can I ask if you are using any of our DKs, or you have a custom board?

Please check the following tutorial to see the expected sleep currents during extended sleep :

http://lpccs-docs.dialog-semiconductor.com/DA14531_Sleep_Mode/extsleep_config.html

Can you follow this tutorial and check if you can get the proper currents?

Does the DA14531 boot from System-RAM or from SPI Flash? The flash is in power down mode?

Thanks, PM_Dialog

Hi PM_Dialog,

1) Its not a DK. Its a custom board.

2) I will check the link if I am following the correct steps.

3) I am using the sys-ram as of now.

Thanks,Mark

嗨MarkDsylva_2277,

Yes, please go through the suggested tutorial. If you are using Keil IDE to download FW into System-RAM though JTAG, make sure that the debugger is de-attached. Otherwise the power consumption will be much higher.
