IOT Gateway (Raspberry Pi, Beaglebone etc.) ?

I asked this in the tools forum as part of a longer question, but I think it belongs here. Does anyone have a pointer on connecting the IOT Sensor to an IOT Gateway ? For example the TI SensorTag connects to the Beaglebone, would be great to connect the Dialog sensor to such a gateway (for persistence, cloud connect etc.).
