Dear Dialogue support,
我们有使用吗DA14580 itself to measure the 16Mhz frequency offset of received signal?
We are trying to explore the possibility of trimming XTAL 16Mhz without using external frequency counter. Is it possible to use a calibrated golden unit with known XTAL 16MHZ offset as Tx unit, then at the RX unit (or EUT Element Under test) check the frequency gap between received the signal and its own 16Mhz? This way we can change the XTAL trim value at EUT end to achieve a gap of 0 or a predefined low threshold?
Does DA14580 have such a register which shows the measured frequency gap between received the signal and its own 16Mhz?
Thanks,

Hi uta_lc,
There is no register in the 580 that will let you know how off is the XTAL that you are using in comparison to a received signal from a different source with a calibrated XTAL, the available ways of trimming your XTAL can be found in the AN-B-023:End product testing and programming guidelines.pdf. Or the PLT tool uses an external pulse in order to make the XTAL16 calibration.
