Getting Started with the DA14583

Hi,

I'm a student who has just acquired the DA14583 IoT Sensor Development Kit for a robotics course project I'm working on. I have the hardware set up, and it can communicate with the ios mobile app. I'm looking for the SDK so that I can stream the data into my laptop, but I can't find any links. Could somebody help me get started finding the software I need for this device?

Thank you!

Hi Colleen_ubc,

Hi Colleen_ubc,

In order to aquire the fw that is used for the IoT sensor Kit you will have to navigate in the Support Site in the "Products" section and select the "14583" option, after that choose the "Development Kits" tab and click on the "DA14583 IoT Sensor Development Kit" from the sidebar. On the bottom of that page you will be able to find Documents and the fw of the IoT Sensor Kit.

Thanks MT_dialog

Thank you so much! I see the

Thank you so much! I see the IoT Firmware on this page:https://support.dialog-semiconductor.com/connectivity/product/da14583?qt...

However, the download appears to be restricted. How do I receive access to the download?

Thanks again!

Hi Colleen_ubc,

Hi Colleen_ubc,

You will have to agree and submit the licence agreement, after a few days the access will be granted and you will have access to all the restricted documents of the support site.

Thanks MT_dialog

Hi MT_dialog,

Hi MT_dialog,

Just wondering how many days I should expect to wait for access to be granted? It has been one week so far.

Thank you!

Hello,

Hello,

We are still working on setting up the DA14583, and we have a problem with the installation of the software SDK that we have downloaded from your Support page. We have downloaded the files, but we haven't found the .exe file to install or run the software. Are there some more detailed instructions that could help us get the SDK installed? Alternatively, is there a way to access the live accelerometer data from the mobile app to send to a PC?

Thanks again for your help!

Hi Colleen_ubc,

Hi Colleen_ubc,

You will have to use keil in order to be able to use the SDK, the SDK files include the .c/.h files and the appropriate keil projects and configurations files in order to open the examples using Keil, there is no .exe file in the SDK, you just install Keil and open the .uvprojx file. Please check the UM-B-049 : Getting started with the DA1458x Development Kit - Pro on Table 5 : Installeation tools and drivers.

Thanks MT_dialog

Hello,

Hello,

Could I have a look at the robotics course project details you mentioned above? Is Keil obligatory to be able to use the SDK? I have checked all DA14583 IoT sensor specifications and it seems it will fit perfectly well (I've a university project, on going with the approximate deadline in December).

Hi Kemp,

Hi Kemp,

Thanks for your question online. This forum post is obsolete, so if you have any technical question, I would recommend creating a new one.

So, you could share a high-level of your project on a new forum thread, so that we can help you.

Thanks, PM_Dialog
