GPIO current leak on hibernation mode

hi , dialog

We met a problem about GPIO current leak after DA14681 enter hibernation mode.

There is a RTC IC on our board , which its power pad is connected to the VBAT pin , because we want to keep it always working even when the DA14681 on hibernation mode. And the RTC its 3 pins(RTC_INT, SDA , SCL) connected to DA14681 3 GPIO(P1_6 , P3_6 , P3_7) respectively. When DA14681 enter hibernation mode , we found a current comsuption increase about 3~4 uA on the board . If we cutted off those 3 pins connection when device enter hibernation mode ,there is no current comsuption increase. so it's most probably that we met GPIO current leak on hibernation mode . Besides , the v33 power pad voltage is about 0.6V after DA14681 enter hibernation mode . Is V33 power rail will shutdown on hibernation mode? Our sdk version is 1.06. I am looking forward to your reply. thanks

Hi guxiang

Hi guxiang

Please read the 4. Power management section of the DA14680datasheet and Figure 8: Power management unit block diagram. You will see that in hibernation mode the V33 is off. n hibernation mode only the blocks which cause asynchronous events are open, and you are able to wake-up asynchronous0ly only either from Wake-up controller or from the VBAS interrupt (plug an usb cable for example). Be aware that the hibernation mode is for shipping scope and not for development scope.

hi ,dialog

Regarding the gpio current leaking I mention above , what's your suggestion to solve it?

Hi guxiang,

Hi guxiang,

我刚意识到你正在使用SDK1.0.6 which is a very old version of SDK and it is not currently supported. Could you please download from our support portal and use the latest version of SD which is version 1.0.14.1081. Do you still have the same issue?

Thanks, PM_Dialog
