I've been able to decrease the advertising rate when there is no established bluetooth link. Is is also possible to decrease the connection rate when there is a bluetooth link? I see every 30ms bluetooth traffic in the power profiler. I would like to decrease this to achieve less power consumption.

which device do you make the Bluetooth link to? The Bluetooth Central will be set the connection interval and in most mobiles and tablets they are not willing to change to a longer connection interval. You do have the option using the dongle in the evaluation kit and the connection manager to set the connection interval to what fits your application.
