嗨,我DA14580模块只使用UART: TX, RX, VCC and GND.now it work,the TX voltage 4.1V, RX=VCC is 3.3V.if measure current as(AN-B-015_DA14580_Current_Measurement, motherboard measurement in J13,use SmartSnippets.exe measure),the broadcast current is 10UA when broadcase time 1.5S. BUT if use multimeter series connection the VCC,current is -0.2MA;when series connection the TX,current is 2.6MA.why the current difference so great.and which methods is right?thank you very much.

With smart snippets you can measure active currents and you can see the power consumption in different modes extended sleep, deep sleep, active as well as tx, rx activity. To accurately measure the 580 in sleep modes smart snippets its not accurate enough and you will need a DMM. The most reliable method is by using a DMM, what do you mean the broadcast current ? in receive and transmit is approximatelly 5.0 mA. Please have a look at the posts below, perhaps they will give you some insight:

HI,broadcast current is advertising event for a period current.As attachment(advertising event for a period of 0.16 secs current,advertising event for a period of 1.5secs current,work mode is my module working connect).Using two USB,one connect to motherboard,and my module connect at J13;another connect to my Module so can control the status.when my module only advertising not connect to phone,the SmartSnippets.exe measure current as the attachment screenshot.You mean,this measure mothod is not OK,only use DMM(for example Agilent 3458A)can measure current correct?If so,the Agilent 3458A is series connection to VCC and GND?
see the AN-B-015,as Connect a keyboard via an adapter to the connectors J1, J2, J3 and J4 of the motherboard, Can I connect my module(14580 device) to J1'P04(RX)P05(TX) measure current?because my device work with VCC GND RX TX.

In order to have more accurancy in your measurements a DDM if a better choice. The Smart Snippets gives a rough but a good approximation about the currents in your 580. Something i ve just noticed in your first post is that you are supplying the TX with 4.1V that is above the absolute maximum ratings that the 580 can handle. This is a good reason for getting peculiar measurements.

The current of the device is approximatelly 0.5mA when no sleep is applied and the 580 is in idle state (no advertising, etc).

now my device sleep current is1.2UA, it advertising a period of 1S only from sleep,no connect any others equipment, the current is how much ?thank you verymuch.
