DA14585 Specifications

Hello support team!

Please check the specification of the DA14585 about the difference
between the data sheet(DA14585_datasheet_2v2.pdf)
and the design guide(DA14585/DA14586 Application Hardware Design Guidelines V1.0.pdf) .

1)UART Port Pin Assign
It assumes the terminal setting (SPI, UART) of Step A in Table 20 in the data sheet .
For the UART terminal, the difference with the design guides anxious.
In Table 20 of the data sheet,
UART TX: P0 _ 0, UART RX: P 0 _ 1 is stated as Step A (Default?).
另一方面,在5.1的设计指南,
UART TX: P0_4 and UART RX: P0_5 are recommended as Default settings when using UART.

2)C8 Specification
Which value should be used for C8 hanging on the VDCDC_RF terminal of the Figure 2 circuit in Design Guide 4?
100nF or 1uF?
In the Figure 2 of Design Guide 4(Page.7), it is described as C8: 100 nF,
but at section 5.4(page.8), it is stated that 1 uF is used.

Jun-ichi

Hi Jun-ichi Tobe,

Hi Jun-ichi Tobe,

  1. I dont quite get the first point of the question, when the 585 boots up it scans its peripherals like Table 20 mentions, so its starts first with the SPI Master configuration and then continues with the UART configuration and then goes on with the different interfaces. The UART interface is scanned with the sequence indicated on Table 20. Regarding what the AN-B-054 document mentions, usually P0_4 or P0_5 are used by Dialog, but the pins P0_0 / P0_1 can also be used as well, there is no issue booting from those pins.
  2. A value of 100nF might be enough for the VDCDC_RF biasing, but we usually recommend 1uF, since technically will decrease the low pass frequency, which is good for the RF performance and logistically 1uF capacitors are used at other pins on the board. The recommended values of the placed caps is 1uF and this is also true for the VDCDC_RF cap, i ve placed an internal ticket for the recommended values in the datasheet and on the AN-B-056 document to be corrected.
